Three years after graduating from college with a music degree, Alex graduated from law school. Now she practices both violin and law in Nashville. She is grateful to live in a city with such a vibrant community of professional and amateur musicians who give so generously of their time and talents to allow ensembles like the NPO to flourish. Alex plays in the violin section of the NPO and serves on its board of directors.
Alex is an avid supporter of the music community. In addition to attending as many concerts as she can and volunteering for the NPO, she serves on the Blair KeyBoard at the Blair School of Music of Vanderbilt University and supports the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts program of the Arts and Business Council of Greater Nashville.
By day (and sometimes nights and weekends as well), Alex counsels clients in litigation and transactional matters involving intellectual property rights. As a member of the law firm of Stites & Harbison, PLLC, Alex assists clients with the acquisition, selection, adoption, registration, licensing, and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights. Alex contributes regularly to the Trademarkology blog: www.trademarkologist.com.
